I am getting ready to move to Maryland from Georgia. I was wondering how is the deer hunting and what else is popular in the area?

There's great waterfowl hunting in the Md, Del. area.

Dude...we can shoot something like 65 or 70 deer a season up here...trust me there's plenty of them.

waterfowling is great too and the fishing aint half bad.

Since it is a new area for me, I will be renting the Annapolis area first until I get more familiar with the area of where to buy.

I will bring the rifles and shotguns.[excited]

that is what we keep hearing. We are really looking forward to the move. I was bush hogging just a couple of days ago and kicked up a covy of quail.

Dove season starts this weekend down here. [grin]Is there Pheasant up that way?

No, you need to PA for anything like that.

no real upland birds in a lot of MD.

the quail are making a comeback on the shore. and the grouse vary in the mountains with weather year to year.

tons of turkeys on the shore and plenty in the mountains.

ducks and geese all over.
