They are hitting the beans & corn hard but, the Acorns are starting to drop so it could change soon. At our club it is dry, dry, dry so H20 close to a food source is the key. The deer are even crossing the fields during the middle of the day going to the river bc all the swamps & creeks have been dry.
If I would have known earlier a couple of plastic kid pools @ certain locations w/ fresh water weekly would have been a good idea bc on Fri. am after a short rain storm there were tracks around all the fresh puddles in the roads.
The bucks I've seen are still in velvet although did see some fresh rubs on Sun. so I'll be back in the woods this weekend looking for some horns.
