I was wondering if anyone has tried attaching the clam bags directly to the #5 loctite with a slip knot, and if so how did it turn out. (Better/ lesser catch than on a snood line?) (loss of bag from line?) Thanks for the info guys

I just finished experimenting with #5 Loktite & a bait bag.

I tried 2 different knots and in my opinion, there will be a huge number of bait bags lost to this method.

If you actually try this, please report back with your results.

I will be trying bait bags on #5 this year, so I will report how it works as well...

i did that last year.....IN MY OPINION ONLY.......snood lines are a pain in the ass......the #5 locktite with the same slip knot i use for eel worked just fine with the clam bags......never lost one bag......doin it again this year....no problems at all....

HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.....................

I guess the clams can't be popped off the line like necks after all.
Another failed experiment ???????????:wahoo:

Lol, That would be one expensive way to unbait your line...

In order to facilitate the board with the correct answer, and since I use Loktite, I'll agree to "tie one on" :D. Maybe even more than one. Never had a problem doing that!

I'll compare and report back as the season moves on.

I used clam bags on snood lines 1800 ft & they worked well . I spaced them out every 10 ft & didn't have any problems pulling them in even with my winder .
