Yesterday Beth and I headed down to Delaware to check a couple of things out. On the way back we ventured over to Capt Chris AYCE crabs outside North East Md. We got out of the car walked up to the building stood there checking it out and when asked if we wanted to order I answered ......no. I can't do it. I'm finding it harder to pay for something I can catch myself.

So we jumped back into the car and proceeded to drive home. While in Oxford the same thing happened again. We stopped and went inside Chesapeake Crab. I talked to the guy there for a while and ended up wishing him a good day.

Two places visited, no crabs purchased.

I can only hope I get out soon. I don't know how long I can take it.

I understand how you feel John but there is NO shame in buying crabs when it is still too early to catch them. I have done it twice already. I probably will do it mid summer at the restaurant down the street. When you buy crabs, you are still supporting some one who shares our passion. It's always better to catch your own but when you wanna play ........you gotta pay!............Gary

You're right Gary but there is no better feeling, sitting down enjoying your own catch.

Crabs are like drugs, expensive and addictive.

Let's see what next weekend brings

Resist the dark side, be strong. Take a deep breath, let it out slowly, it will pass.

The time is short now. Need some 80* temps and we'll be there in 2 weeks +/-. It's that close. May 1 is only 5 days away.
