Go out the other night and kill a nice 100 pound Doe right at dark. Field dress her and put her in the back of the truck. Get home and hang her in my shed. I closed the door on the shed ( I thought) and go to bed. With the intentions of dropping her off at the Butchers in the morning. Well, I get up and go to get her and she's been half eaten.

Maybe I just let the weight of the door close itself. Anyway the deer is wasted and I'm pissed. I hate FOXES.

I'll kill two just for you during this deer season. I need two pelts this year.

Kindest Regards,

How big are these foxes. Ate 50 lbs of meat. Sounds more like the dog to me.

I would say dogs or coyotes. foxes are more of live mouse or rabbit eaters, I dont think they are real interested in dead deer.

Foxes are more interested in rhodents, berries and rabbitsl. I am a avid fox hunter, killed 27 last year got tired and started taking friends to kill the ******s. Sounds more like a house dog or coyote!

I agree with the other guys it was a house dog or coyote. I have caught foxes on a couple occations eating deer that I have shot and waited till the next morning to track/retrieve and they only ate the azz out and very little meat. Last year we shot a big 8 point in Amherst county and waited till the next morning to track it and when we found the deer there was nothing left but bones and horns. Them coyotes sure can clean up some meat. [sad]

Coyotes would be my first guess
