On saturday I fished the 65 - 66 area and didn't bother with my boards due to the conditions. All our fish came off deep rods. Some times they will come off the planer board rods but that is primarily when there is not much traffic on the water. Make sure you run one of your tandem rods way, way, way back. That has gotten the largest fish for me the last two springs. My WWWB is 325 feet with 6 ounce and 4 ounce tandems. When I can't run the boards I will run another rod back about 250-275 with a single 2 ounce chute. This will keep it somewhat shallow.

Krunch, on Friday evening when we were next to you, we picked up our lines shortly after you did and had a 34" fish just handing out on the planer board lines.
T-Bird's Girl, planer boards are a pain in the you know what, but they do help you can't fish. As Satterly said, some WWWB lines may be your best bet for now.

Thank everyone for your help. Its great when people like to share to others!!!when yal say 300 feet back lines. Is that from reel to bait. And do you mark your lines or guesstimate

300 from rod tip to bait. I use fly tying floss and Berkley fishing glue to mark the line.
