Are you guys running 6",9" or a combination of the two with your tandems. If using both, which has been more effective. Thanks in advance.

I use 6" on the bottom and 4" on the top with four rods and my other two rods I use 9" on the bottom with 6" on the top. Not sure how long I'll spend with the heavy 9"/6" rigs, probably going to run too deep for the spring season. Even in the fall I had the majority of my success on the 6"/4" combos (mostly white too). Hope this helps. Good luck this season...!!!

I have run a combination of both and so far this year I have not gotten anything on 6 inch.

I've been running 9" and 12" this spring - only two trips, but 3 on the 9", and 1 on the 12". Figure with my 4 hour investment to reach the bay, I'm going to roll the dice and hope big bait = big fish. Once we hit May 16th, I'll start trolling a few 6" shad to look for the under 28" bite. Good Luck out there!

Thanks for the replies. My thoughts were confirmed - keep the 6" in the box! We`re gonna give them a try tomorrow out of Lewisetta. Wish us luck!

I think I will use the 9 " too. But keep the 6" just in case

All 9"..We usually try to mix in a couple 12"...I know elephants eat peanuts but the 9's will produce better than the 6" right now

9" is the money bait at this time of year. You catch bigger fish with the size of bait they are eating.
