The Northern Neck Anglers Club will hold it's first 2010 tournament, The Trophy Rockfish Tournament, on Saturday May 1 and Sunday May 2. This is a team format tournament where a member can take any number of other members and non-members on his or her boat to make up the team. Each team can enter two fish each day. The team that enters the best two fish, by weight, during the two day event will be the winner. There will be awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3ed places.
The Trophy Rockfish Tournament is sponsored by B.E.S.T. Boathouse. B.E.S.T. Boathouse is located on the Rappahannock just down river from Urbanna on the south side. B.E.S.T. has launching facilities for members' boats, non-ethenol fuel, plenty of parking, ice, and other angler needs. B.E.S.T. Boatyard is also an NNAC weigh-in location for their tournament events.
The Trophy Rockfish Tournament weather forecast for Saturday looks quite good. Good luck to all angler teams who participate in the event.
