Little too breezy for fishing where I wanted this morning from the kayak, so I found some action from land. Caught a nice rockfish about 3 weeks ago that would have been a keeper today but no love on the 32"+. Did manage one schoolie and this fine fellow. Went 20.75". Caught on artificials.

There are no flounder in the Great Wicomico. There are no speckeld trout in the Great Wicomico. No large rocks live in the river either. Nice flounder! Did you fish from the public pier? We were going to try and kayak fish from the marsh but the 10 mph forecasted wind seemed more liike 17 so we took the boat and trolled for an hour before it just got to rough for a small boat. Managed to catch a few of those schoolies near the floating pier by the bridge (is that hotel/condos ever getting built?) on the way back. I lost a BIG fish last week by the bridge, he managed to wrap around a piling and break off.

Yeah I had planned to do the same thing as you but I knew it would not be worth it by the way it was blowing. Yeah, off the pier. I throw jigs around there when other options fail. Im starting to figure that place out a little bit. Like I previously said, I jigged a nice striper from the pier a couple weeks ago. He was at least 32", didnt have a tape with me. Had to bring him around the side of the pier and use the crabbing platform to get him up.

J- we should for sure get together. Things are shaping up nicely.
