Tuesday Potomac Report

[Mushy]

I had to replace the sending unit in my fuel tank and since it was a quick fix, I had time to go troll around for a few hours. Fished the area of # 9 and after getting all lines out had the first hit. The fish was about 32" or so, but we'll never know as my brother tried to lift him into the boat without the net and he fell off. Picked up three more that were under size, then got a 33" into the boat. Trolled for about another hour with no hits. Fish were hitting planer board lines about 60-80' back. Color didn't seem consistent. There was tones of bait flipping out of the water in the middle of the river, but no marks around them. My guess is a few bluefish had them on the run. Overall, a beautiful day on the river!

Mushy, Nice to see some fish being caught in the areas I usually troll. Hope to be down early Friday morning to give it a try before the winds start blowing. Good luck if you get out again this week.

Where is #9?

Joe117 bouy 9 is down south from stewarts petroleum. 7 and 9 are popular places to troll just near the mouth of the potomac.
