Twin Cedars Farm (Vienna, MD) - officially opening its hunting season (this just means I got to go hunting and saw some deer)
Four of us hunting some combination of the three days.
Thurs/Fri - plenty of does in the fields/woods, 6 pointer passed on. 4 pointer passed on. 8 pointer passed on because the dirty bolt would not snap the primer (Jeff) and later a 6 pointer passed on because of the same thing (Jeff).
Sat. morning - Rain
Sat. eve- see photos below

Mine on the left was a swamp deer, nose to the ground. At first , I thought he was like a four pointer but as he kept turning his head his rack kept growing. I looked ahead to see my shot potential....which was growing poor because of thick cover.......so because I needed to put my first notch in my muzzleloader....I took him.
Jeff's on the right may have been the one missed earlier that the primer would not go off......either way, this one was down.....chasing a doe. Nothing more needs to be said about this one......the photo says it all.
We have many more of these in our future.
The Camtracker is finally out and we should soon see photos of some of them.
Also we have the whistling chocolate goats (sika) that have been alittle shy lately but, oh well.
