Pulled my 50 pots around the Patapsco. The report is there was only one keeper in them. Seven or eight small crabs. Pots in 12 to 20ft. Clams for bait. Let them sit for a week and will check again.

Thanks for the report. I figured it would be way too early for that far north but you never know till you go!............Gary

Sorry you didn't score much better than you did, but it's a valuable report. Thanks.

Thanks for the report. Surprisingly, they haven't made it into the shallow creeks off there yet either. Gotta be soon, real soon.

that's not very good either, is it? Maybe for this time of year it's not too bad I guess. Just need this weather to get straightened out for more than a few days at a time. I know it's 1 cold rain up in my neck of the woods this afternoon.

That's 55 pots to the bushel...... Glad to see them coming on and I know it's early but that's a lot of work for that amount

that's what I meant (amount of work vs. yield), but I know ya gotta get 'em out to stake your spot and have 'em ready when they do start moving good. At least hopefully the price is @ a premium this early in the season.

Its like the lottery. You have to play to win. Need the upper bay to turn on. Tired of the drive, pull pots and drive back. Like I have always said Full time work for part time money. What keeps me going is you never know and always see something different. If it was easy they would call it catching instead of crabbing.

just some nice steady temps for a few weeks would help a bunch as well i'm sure. It's only been in the 40's up here today (Frederick) co. and raining most of the day. Thanks for the reports samie- it's nice to know what's going on out there and I hope you have a great, safe season.
