Just wondering if anyone has been to Centennial Lake this year and if anyone has had any luck up there? Also, just want to get an idea of how the grasses are growing so I know if I'm going to need alot of weedless baits or not. Thanks for the help.

If you are talking about the lake in Howard County, I fished it Sunday for the second time this year first time was about 9 days before. It was very slow the first time. I fished the afternoon to sunset and caught two fish ( one happened to be a 6.5 lb pig that was close to 2 ft so that made up for the slow day). Sunday I went and caught 10 bass in 2 and a half hours. The biggest being around 3 lbs. Grass really hasn't started to grow in yet. I was fishing swim bits and roster tails and had very few snags,. Hope this helps.

Around the island....in the cove by the bridge (the points where the cove meets the main part of the lake always produces for me ). The rip rap wall at at the south side (I think) is good working crank baits off the rocks. if you search around the shore line between the rip rap wall and the boat ramp there's a small submerged island that is a little secret hot spot of mine.

Went out there Sunday with my buddy....pretty slow day as most everyone I talked to hadn't caught any fish. Managed to pull one small one in the boat, had one pull the trailer hook and rubber stopper off of my spinner bait, and had one get to the boat and spit the hook. I noticed especially on the side with the island that the grasses had grown very tall and we had to switch to weedless baits. Im hoping to get back out there again soon with different results!
