Don't know about you but it is right around the corner......and I am exited!!!! Getting the gear ready and packed up. Don't let the heat bother you last year my buddy CT Wendell bagged his best buck 22 inch "Perfect" 8 pointer on election day at 12 noon and it was 80 degrees the deer was a monster out cruising for does..If you can stay on the stand then do it. I know over the past few years I have caught nice bucks just walking around while I was driving back to the club house for lunch. Go get em !!! [excited]

[excited][excited],Can't believe it's that close. Just purchased a new smokepole for my 14yr old son who will be going for his first deer again this year. He's off the 7th and 8th and I'm trying to get him in a good place. This should be his best chance yet. I agree about the big bucks working during the day, I hope they don't get thrown off by this heat. they just started to make scrapes in my area the last few days. This new moon should make them move during daylight hours a little more through the end of next week. Good luck to you and your son nicbuck, I know you will be one happy camper if he gets a deer, I know I will if he gets his first one.[excited][excited]

Bill, Good Luck to you as well. I think I am more excited this year for 2 reasons, First my son Nic will be hunting w/a muzzleloader for his first time he is 8 years old and ready. And second, I did not get to bowhunt this year due to the arrival of my 2nd son Christian Andrew, born 9/30/05 and my work schedule as well has kept me very busy, but come Friday the 4th I will be off until the 14th the back to work for a few days then off again for Thanksgiving week. I need it bad [grin]
