lol, yep. but I dont think that was the "point" he was trying to make. just trying to start another anti commercial fishing campaign.

maybe ur yak charter business joke would have gone better if that net wasn't in ur only fishing spot at prop slough

What did you do about the net? did you move it? did you call someone to pick it up? did you call DMF or NC wildlife to remove it? or did yo just take a picture of it, walk away, and post it on the internet to bash commercial fishermen once again? I sure hope you did something about it. I dont want my only spot ":hysterical:"taken up by a net, haha. you sir are out to lunch. If that comment had come from anyone else I might have actually taken offense but I dont expect anything else from you. Dissapoints me to see that you still discredit and slander people just because you disagree with them. I should have never poked my head in here because I knew you were just trolling for attention and looking to start an argument. If this even deserves to be on this site it belongs in the conservation board.

HOW IS NORTHERN VA? is it slander and discrediting if its all true ??
a good friend of mine took the pics last week matt...according to him there were to other nets in the same area...he didn't take pics of...i kindly asked him to take pics next time of them...SO THERE WILL BE MORE TO COME....also i have reported 3 nets last summer to dmf...i know one is still there...not sure on others....
dmf would rather give someone a ticket for a puppy drum thats a quarter inch over once they pinch the tail really hard....many of these officers with the same last names as many of the prominent commercial fishing families in dare county...
i'm not bashing commercial fisherman.....i'm not against commercial fisherman, i respect many of them...ive always said this....they are some of the hardest working people in america....but i truly think that (in my OPINION) the future of fisheries in nc is dependent on getting these indiscriminate killing machines out of our waters...that being said...i was willing to try to compromise and let them keep there nets with gamefish status but that was immediately rejected....there are many other forms of commercial harvest that are more discriminate and sustainable....
and the netter can see that net...he knows its there....he paid for that net...and he is too LAZY to go pick it up.....

Look people, I really do not know the history here and I am not clear on the intent of the thread. I will say that calling people names and such does nothing good and is not anything we need around here. If anything this thread should be on the conservation forum we have on Tidal Fish. I will also say Tidal Fish is not the place to start a war with commercial fisherman. If we manage fisheries correctly all anglers can benefit.
Like I said, I do not know the history here, but I am closing it down because it looks like it is going in no good direction.
