I will be back to MD water this Saturday. This is the best time for me. Both stripers and croakers are active and present in upper and mid bay. No more skunk days I hope. I am expecting big croakers a16-18” and active keeper stripers around Breezy Point, and Big croakers at 16-18” in Cornfield Harbor off PLO. It is not too hot or cold. The water is warm enough. I was wearing bathing trunk last Saturday. All these mean to me is that I can drink and enjoy being on the water longer.
Can't wait. I got light tackles prepared and I am ready to go.:fishing2:

My default place is Breezy Point where I have the better chance of catching Stripers while croaker fishing. And also, I can bring some beer on hot days to BP marina. Come to think of it I prefer places I cna bring some beer especially on hot days. But PLO is the better place for big Croakers. Friends of my wife and my sister prefer croakers over stripers because I give all croakers to them. It depends on the direction of the wind if wind is 12knots and under. If the wind is 15+ knots, I will hit either Bushwood or St Jerome's Creek. I feel St. Jerome;s creek holds a few perch and stripers at 16-22" at least. I will make the decision on Friday.
