Can you freeze fresh razor clams and use them in your snood bags or pots at a later date?
Are the results the same as fresh razor clams?
Thanks is advance,

From what I understand , clams have to be alive ! Dead clams are no good !
Razor Clams are used alive. if you freeze them they will die

I have experimented with freezing clams. Last year I purchased a bushel of clams. After baiting 3600ft I still had enough remaining for another day so I froze the balance. The next week I baited with the frozen clams and headed to the water. What a waste of time, I did catch a few but the clam only lasted about a run or two and I was left with bags of razor clam shells for the balance of my great hope trip. As rj stated, clams should be used alive
