From Chumlordfishing.com Reports:

Brian, JC, Thuy and I Headed to Oregon Inlet, NC to hopefully put some Yellowfin in the boat. The bite had been good lately so we were optimistic. The bite was slow today and we struggled to get any action. We fished from the 660 line south to “The Point” zig-zagging the 100 fathom curve in 71 degree water. We picked up one small gaffer just north of the point and decided to head north to “The Tuna Hole”. Fishing was still slow, we circled the outside of the Oregon Inlet fleet at the 700 line in 1800 feet, out of the corner of my eye I saw a boil on the surface to our port side JC confirmed it, we turned to investigate and the planer rod goes off a moment later the WFB goes down and we finally found what we were looking for. 25 minutes later we had two 50 pound class YFTs on ice. While we were gaffing the second YFT a 100 pound class Bigeye slurps down a bait we had dangling from the long rigger and we are hooked up again. Unfortunately we lost the fish after a one hour and twenty minute battle. All in all a great day on the water tough fishing but we scratched out some sushi!

Congrats to you and your crew ! Lou as always great fishing along side you. We without a doubt got our asses handed to us on the ride out, could hardly make 18 knts. without beating the shit out of my boat. A 17 degree deadrise just doesnt cut in 3' to 4' head sea's tho the payoff was worth the 2 hour ride. As we trolled side by side i found myself looking in your direction and i couldnt help but notice your crew shuffling about which i immeditely realized you were hooked up and at that very moment i again couldnt help but hear one of my reels scraeming too, we also were hooked up !! persistance and hard work payed off !! Again great fishing with you and your crew, where to next !!??

Nice job out there in the big fleet dance. You had a better day than us as we only had one Mahi to show for an interesting day. Hope to see you out there again soon.

Glad you guys got some. I ended up not going. My crew backed out so I took my dad flounder fishing (caught 8). I hope to get out there in the next few weeks.
