Anyone out there duck hunt north landing, west neck or anywhere near there?
I was talking to some guys in another post about it.
Just wondering if anyone jump shoots or sets up decoys with a floating blind.

I have float blind hunted with a buddy a few times, kinda slow on Northlanding, we did see plenty of Black ducks around the marshes, West Neck creek on the other hand if you go under the bridge to the right of West Neck Marina, and go to the back were it thins out there are plenty of wood ducks, there are 2 or 3 stationaary blinds back there but just stay away from the and you will be fine.

Yeah I have bass fished in there alot.
Thanks for the advice.
I hope to scout it out as soon as I get my Albemarle back on the water. I got at home doing some installs.
I have never decoyed Wood ducks, only jump shoot. Anyone ever had them decoy??

I have hunted beaver ponds with wood duck and greenhead decoys and hand woodies land in the decoys. I know the ducks where already working the ponds though. So I don't know how much the decoys helped.
Also, I saw your other thread about trying to find places to hunt. Looking at my letter the over day, it appears walk-ins can pick blind stakes after all those with lottery numbers have finished.
Hope this helps
