I am going to the shore house this weekend and want to take the kids crabbing. Would anyone be willing to sell me 3 commercial crab pots "traps". If so, I need to pick them up Friday after 2000 on the way to the bay bridge. If they are rigged that's even better. If interested call me on my cell 2027018648.
Thanks

They sell them at Angler's by the bridge. You might want to put your first name by your telephone number. Some might not feel uncomfortable calling and asking for Eastduck:eek2::hysterical::hysterical: I hope you are aware that only 2 pots can be used on a pier of a property owner. Don't want to see an Eastduck in the NRP Blotter.:amen:..............Gary

Using a crab pot's not really taking your kid crabbing. Did you really mean 'pot' - like someone said earlier, if you're waterfront you can only use two pots. They didn't mention that you can NOT use pots if you're not in a waterfront home unless you have a commercial license. Pots are pretty big and push $30 each.

If you want to take the kid crabbing, get some regular crab traps (people here seem to think topless are best) or some drop lines, and some chicken necks - that will be fun for the kid.

Either use topless traps from your pier or boat or for some real fun for the kids use hand lines. All can be purchased at any sporting goods store. Good for you for teach'in them how to crab. It will pay off later in life and they will learn something about the Bay and the creatures in it.
