My Buddy's Son Bags 2 First time Deer

Me and my son had to stay home today and take care of our newborn son/brother while mom ventured out to Christmas shop. Let me tell ya I've been chomping at the bit all day. But the good news is my buddy and his 10 year old son went and called me and told me where they were headed and being new to our club he wasn't sure where to stand so I told him where he would be better off getting and about an hour later he call back and his son got his first deer a nice doe dad and son were FIRED up!!!! Then about an hour after that he called me back and the little stinker scored a NICE 8 POINT 18 INCH SPREAD TROPHY [excited][excited][excited]. I think Iam having just as much fun sitting here as I would there.....NOT ! It is GREAT to here the little ones score...That is what it's all about boys....and girls....

Somewhere I read that a deer hunter goes through several transformations:

First he wants to kill a deer, any deer.

Then, he wants to kill a buck.

Next, he wants to kill trophy bucks.

After that, he just enjoys going hunting.

But they left out the part about helping others get a deer.

That had to be the happiest little boy I have ever seen.When I saw him he gave me a big hung and hand shake.It will be a day he will never forget.Not only killing his first deer beside his dad but getting that buck really made my day.Yep Nicbuc ,you missed that grin at the dog pen.His dad could not had been happier watching his son shoot those deer at his side.
He's HOOKED now.
It was a beautiful buck with a 15 1/2 " spread,just as good as an 18-20"er to that little boy.[grin]
