Elk Hunting outfitters

Does anybody have a great Elk Camp or Outfitter. I'm looking to book a 2006 hunt. FAIR CHASE ONLY!

Bryce Outfitting (http://www.bryceoutfitting.com/) is a good value in Colorado. Not luxurious, but good lodging, good food. I'd pay a little extra money for the 2 on 1 hunt. Hunt is a mix of public and private land. The terrain is tolerable on the Grand Mesa. We saw game every day. Two of us went out - we had a bull tag, a cow tag, and two mule deer buck tags. Filled the cow and buck tags. The mule deer were everywhere - deer tags are by lottery, but the odds are good. Lots of horseback riding (out from the lodge and back each day) is required. Good luck! I would look online for outfitters in the Cody/Jackson hole area of Wyoming or New Mexico. The elk are considerably larger than the ones in Colorado. Check with United states outfitters, they have stuff all over the place and are highly regarded by many of the TV personalities.

I reccomend W3 outfitters. www.w3outfitters.com They're in the Craig, CO area.

You're gonna need to get with an outfitter soon to get in the drawing you'll need. In CO. some areas are over the counter so they'll be your best bet.

I had a great hunt with them in '04 and will be with them in Sept '06. They have great horses, great food, and are in a great area for Elk and Deer.

I highly reccomend Milligan Brand Outfitting out of Chama New Mexico. I was there a few years back and it was increadable. The cost is a little higher but I saw a few thousand elk during the week. I messed up and shot one too early. My bull is a very big 5x5. My budy shot a huge 6x6. My elk took an extra large form and my buddies was special order that's how big it was. I also shot a 5x5 mule deer and passed a shot on a sow black bear. Can't shoot a sow with cubs. The entire camp had their elk by mid day on the 2nd day. They have tons of land to hunt! Thanks for the responses, I need to make a decision this month to start application process in Jan. for a few states.

I Just taked with George, USA Outfitters this afternoon. I kind of liked what he had to say.
