Help with Penn 980 parts

Could anyone direct me in the right direction on where I can order a set of side plates for a Penn 980? I purchased one off of craig's list and when I got it home and went to clean it I noticed that that both side plates had been broken and glued back together. I guess I have learned a lesson. Any help woud be apprecated. The reel is no good to me now because someone told me that they don't make parts for them and if I could find them they woold bt to exspensive to purchase. Thanks.

The reel is obsolete. Parts availability is dwindling.

I checked with my suppler and they have a couple of the right side plates in stock. The left side plates are long gone

970 has the same sideplates...all these plates are getting hard to find, 990 sideplates are NOT the same. google pennparts...best of luck.

Thank You for help. A freind was able to locate both side plates for me for a totalof $47.00 that included the shipping and handling. I am back in business.
