Advice on buying 1st longbow

I would like some advice on a good longbow to buy so I can learn this new hobby of mine. I don't want to spend an arm and a leg untill I see if I take to it. Any suggestions on what I should buy first. Thanks fellas, My eventual goals are to hunt small game and deer to start.

The bowsite has forums on there by state. There are a lot of knowledgeable guys out there to answer any questions you may have. There is a good friend of mine on there (droptine59) that makes and refinishes traditional bows. He could be a huge help, go on and ask him. Tell him I sent you !
