The Tidewater Kayak Anglers Association is proud to announce that registration is now open for the 6th Annual Kayak Fish For Charity Tournament. The date is Sept. 25, 2010, and the tournament headquarters will be in the Tidewater area of Virginia. (Norfolk, Virginia Beach, etc)

This charity event supports Heroes on the Water http://www.kayakanglerssa.org/clubs/HeroesontheWater/tabid/115/Default.aspx
and Project Healing Waters http://www.projecthealingwaters.org , two groups that do an incredible job to help rehabilitate our wounded warriors with a variety of kayak fishing related activities. Several members of both groups fish at the tournament and it is truly a priceless and humbling experience to give back to those who have given so much to us.

Once again, Hobie Kayaks have stepped up as the primary sponsor with the slam prize being a Hobie Pro Angler kayak. They are also donating the captain’s bags for this years tournament.

Other major supporters include Appomattox River Company, Wilderness Systems, Malibu Kayaks, Native Watercraft, NuCanoe, KayakBassFishing.com, Tar River Paddle Sports, Old Dominion Kayaks, and Bass Pro Shops. Along with over 70 other sponsors, this years tournament promises to eclipse last years registration of 215 kayak anglers.
As in past years, we will have several divisions which include a slam, species (speckled trout, flounder, puppy drum, and striper), Largemouth bass, fly, female, and youth anglers.
