I've lost my sheath for my old trusty fixed blade knife. I think that I would like to have a nice new leather one made for the girl. Anybody know of any good leather places that could do this? Thanks.

Jimmy,

If you're interested, try making one - it's not all that difficult. Supplies and needles/twine, etc. can be gotten easily at:

It'll mean a lot more if you make one yourself if you're trying to pass it on.

Try the sheath first - after that, let me know when you're ready to make the knife itself [wink].

I can recommen 2 places. Check with Backwoods Leather in Portsmouth, VA. The guy makes belts, holsters, anything in leather an is quite reasonable. Also if you live in Chesapeake, VA go to Eddie Smith Barber shop on George Washington Highway. He also makes quality leather sheaths.
