100# Mono or Nylon mason's line.
Either will work. Mason's line is easier to tie.

I would suggest a small diameter braided nylon line......

I have found traps that folks lost rigged with braided wire fishing leader. Each door was connected with the leader snap end and the other eyelet end was fished onto a metal shower curtain hook. Main line tied to the shower curtain hook. $$$$$$ if you ask me but some folks go it I guess.
I use masons line/braided nylon.
Remember that monofilament deteriorates quickly if left out in the sun,
If I were rigging rthen I would use braided line

I second Jerry's mason string suggestion. Easy to work with lasts forever and it's cheap.
Even comes in pink and yellow if so inclined.

Masonry braided is what I use. It seems to last several years, but keep an eye on it for nicks, abrasions etc.
