Hey gang!

Although I've owned many guns in the past, I hadn't had any since living in Virginia. Until recently.

I'm going to start getting into hunting here (I'd done a lot out west, in Oregon), and I just inherited a .35 cal rifle as well as a 12g shotgun.

I live in Chesterfield County, and wondering about the laws here. Specifically about whether or not I can target practice on my neighbor's property. He has about 3 acres, and there is a safe place to do it, but just didn't want to try it until I checked with you guys...the experts.

Also, I'm going to need to pick your brains about hunting in general as I learn how to hunt in Virginia. But we'll save that for another time.

Thanks!

Matt

Go to the Department of Game and Inland Fisheries website and they have a list of gun regulations by county as to what can be used.

Shoot it! Get a license. It's very liberal, just watch out for the sub-divisions, and shopping malls. Seriously Chesterfield County has places that are very huntable.
