I am going to try bull lips on my trot line. What size do I cut the pieces and is it easier if they are frozen?

hey rick take the lips and put them in a cooler full of table salt for 5 days then cut theminto 1in by about 3 in or so ..let them thaw first before salting they will get stiff and hard .....tommy c

use a box cutter in a half frozen state or a band saw

a REAL sharp knife works too and it helps to remove all the fat and cut the pieces small so alot of it will be consumed. about the size of a fifty cent piece

If your going to use lips, do yourself a favor and get a paper cutter. I use a regular stainless cutter similar to a paper cutter that I bought from someone local, but a paper cutter will work well just wash it off and then spray it down with oil when done to keep it from rusting. Anything you can do to make baiting faster, will be a big help

no need to cut them up; just take the entire box and throw it in the trash...
