Has anybody been able to find any white perch in any of the rivers around the Albemarle? I've caught a few in the PQ but not the normal numbers I should be finding this time of year. I've heard several folks say there were right many in the North River, but haven't been able to make that trip yet. Just wondering what everyones been catching.

Well, I flipped a coin Sunday morning and decided to go to the Chowan. Didn't find any white perch, but I did manage about 15 decent catfish up to 6lbs. All in all, it was better than sitting home wishing I was fishing.

I went back to Chowan Saturday morning and only caught 3 catfish. Did't catch any white perch. Spoke with a guy I work with and he fished the Alligator Saturday in a bass tournament. Said he caught a few perch and there were several boats catching perch by the frying pan. Also was told that there were perch at Salmon Creek and the 32 bridge. My boss's boss caught about 60 up in Tull's bay.
