Weekend Wye Report

Made my first trip to the Wye for the year. Decided to leave the trotline at home and took 23 traps. Wanted to see how strong the action was before I bring the line since the reports have been up and down on the amount of catch from previous posts. I got a late start and didn't get on the water until 9:00 a.m. Crabbed until 2:00 p.m. and managed 20 jumbo crabs. We only had three throw-backs (1 female and 2 less than regulation size). I couldn't believe the size of our 20 keepers. Very nice heavy crabs. Probably heading down next week and will be taking the trotline. Returning to the boat ramp I saw one boat pulling out with what looked to be two bushels.

Thanks for the report.Crabs are around.We did good last Tuesday on the incoming tide. I'm sure people are keeping tight lipped about what's going on down there. Can't sez I blame them.
