Nassawango Creek downstream from Snow Hill has been good for me over the years. For that matter , right around Shad Landing SP has also. Beautiful place to go.

Nassawango and Corkers Creek might be better for kayaking The main river is an effort to paddle if wind and tide are against you. Porters Craossing is another fun place to explore!
