Just my .02 that wed off for rec is BS, My regular day off from my full time job is WED! that sucks they should rotate it or something.
I heard a few years ago that if the only day you had off during the week is Wed. it was legal for you to crab if you had a written paper stateing that from where you work. But that like all the other laws that has probably changed

That i have never heard of. commercial can substitute days but not rec. For instance if I worship my higher power on Mon & Sun than I can show written reason for my request for a substitute day off. Recreational crabbing is just that, recreational. BTW recs can crab on Wednesdays if a holiday is in that week.

Not exactly......the holiday (state or federal) must fall on Wednesday or Thursday.

Tell that to the 35 recs that were on Back river last Wednesday, then tell it to the DNR officer that pulled along side us to say "hello", after he checked them all for life vests. ??????

Matt - Was Wed a State holiday? It wasn't a federal holiday. I was just saying that most holidays fall on Monday or Friday.
What holiday falls always on a friday??
