Yesterday I saw a DNR presence on the upper reaches of the Severn, (west of Round Bay). Good to see (I guess) given how many Rodney's are running there boats at speed, towing kids on bouncy rides in the face of a Holiday Weekend. NOt to mention the PWC guys moving even quicker and on completely unpredictable courses and headings. Just for fun watch one of these guys for a few minutes and try to anticipate there course!

On the other hand, for us good guys() just a heads up that they(DNR)are extremely low profile. This was a dark colored RIB with a radar arch. Only reason I picked them up from a distance was the white radar dome on an arch, maybe 6/7' off the water. Otherwise they are just about invisible from a 1/4 mile..

Stay safe while are river is packed; I look forward to cooler weather and fewer boats!

I hope this wasn't intended for me. I wasn't even around on the 4th and haven’t been north/through the 6 mph zone for about 4 to 6 weeks. And I respect the speed even on the weekdays. I'm sure there are plenty of Rodney's out there but not sure of how many in our club. Or maybe Rodney is pun for idiot, not sure but I hope I haven’t offended anyone on the water. I see DNR out there all the time, even when I'm at the one of the three beaches in our community that are on the south/western side of the river I see DNR going north through the slow zone all the time. I usually don’t respond to this stuff but the name caught me off guard. Rodney

Rodney,

I sent you a PM. Scott sent me a message and he was referencing Rodney Dangerfield's boating prowess in the movie Caddyshack.
