Turkey Hunting

Turkey Hunting is coming up and I'm looking for a good place to take my girlfriend's son (16) on his first turkey hunt. Any suggestions ?

Here in NC we have public game land . Do you have that in your state? It's hard to get anyone to tell where to go because they want to hunt it themselfs. Check with a local game warden and see if you have public land to hunt. Good luck.

We do have public lands in Maryland but they are crowded. I did get 2 a few years back but I was looking for a guide or provate land where a beginner has a better chance ........... but thanks for your suggestion

Rick - tomorrow is MD youth day, 16 yrs. old and younger - a lot less hunting pressure tomorrow than on the opening day.

Thanks for the info ........ forgot about that ........ going fishing @ Solomons for opening day ........ if I would have thought about it we woiuld have scouted several areas
