chicken necks vs clams NOW

Is it time to switch over to the old chicken necks? I love the clams but they are hard to get and alot of work after a while.
also do you guys put your necks in the mesh bags or just on the snood?

In this warm water necks do just fine and they go right in the snood. Best length is 2" long on the line and longer in the traps. Ted, We have been plannin' a trip for some time.........let's make it happen..........Gary

Ted,
I put 1" nubs (short neck pieces) in bait bags as an experiment on an all neck line. Never saw one crab on the neck bags. Caught several bushels on the rest of the neck line. Chicken livers and herring in bags worked well.

Test it yourself and post results.
