Today was the opening day of spring gobbler season with a youth only hunt . after scouting around for a few days we went to our hunt club property in charles city county . up at 3:30 , in the woods at 5:00 at 6:00 my son David had his first gobbler slung over his shoulder and on the way to the truck . it was perfect . 18lbs , 10" beard , 1" spurs .

I know quite a few guys in your club. I would hunt the piece past your dog pen to the north which runs back past the field near the old beaver pond. They are always back there.

ps. I am the reason they discontinued the annual JRRG catfish tournament.[grin]
