I went fishing on July 9 2010 with my friend Jeff on the Severn River at round bay.We started out at Smith's Marina and went across the river from long point at a long grass bed at 5:30am.It was partly cloudy and no wind and the shore line has shade till about 8am,Ho the tide was high going out.We were using my feather spinner baits and glo-jigs with a float set at 2 ft above the jig and no bait. The perch were in the grass and along the shore line. When you work the grass beds you need to crank a little faster to keep above the grass. We were catching just about one per cast and the fish were running from 7" to 11" and some were a little bigger but they got off at the boat When the sun was over head we started working the piers for the shade spots. So we came back across the river to the outside of long point and then the inside until it was time to go.We caught about 200 white perch but my friend Jeff only took home 68 and I dont keep fish.So if you plan to go good luck and god bless our troops.................woody:yes::thumbup:
