Started just before dawn and crabbed until 10:30 a.m. Was hoping to be done earlier. Had a lot more smaller crabs this trip than previous times. Several just didn't make 5 1/4". Caught six doublers. Ended up with a nice bushel of good quality crabs. Caught most of the crabs in 6-7 ft of water. Probably made the mistake of putting my line too far off shore. Part of the line was in 9-10 ft. and the crabs didn't seem to be there. Live and learn I guess.
My last trip I did best in 9' but who knows. Were the Rays still there? Hope to go somewhere this Fri.

Didn't see any Rays. A lot of jelly fish though.
ok TKS Jim so much for a Ray trip then.........
Went to the Wye today anyway to try for some Rays and crabs. Crabs were good but the Rays were not there. Lots of small bait fish but no Rays :(
Came home with crabs though.................
