As the tourney coordinator, the duty falls on me to inform the club of the fast approaching tourney date. According to the SRRKC tourney calendar, the Perch tournament is scheduled for August. Per my observations and SRRKC comments immediately following last years’ dud of a Perch tourney (see http://www.tidalfish.com/forums/showthread.php/270684-SRRKC-W.-Perch-Tourney-Results-amp-Observations), do we want to make it a multi-month contest? If so, do we start in August (coming up very soon!), wait until September, and when should we end? Keep in mind, at least last year, November produced the largest Perch of the year (see http://www.tidalfish.com/forums/showthread.php/275460-Docklight-Perch and http://www.tidalfish.com/forums/showthread.php/275549-More-Big-Perch).
My proposal is this: same rules as last year, but begin on September 1 and run until the December meeting. That will give everyone a chance to participate and likely result in better overall results. What do you say?
