Has anyone gotten on any white perch up in the rivers yet?

Let's bring this back to the top. I'm also interested in the White Perch.

Many years ago(30+) we would catch some really nice perch on the Rapp. bottom fishing latter in the summer...mostly in the shallower water and in the creeks close to the river. This was mostly around Urbanna.

I have since learned that late March early April is the prime time for perch in general. Just wondering if there is a run of the "Stiff Backs" in the creeks on the Rapp or York this time of year.

The congestion on the James here in Richmond during the spring run is almost unbearable.

Hey Glen, how are you doing? Is VAC going to have a shad tournament? Dave

Hey Dave

Shad outing is 4/9, flood waters permitting. River this morning was at the top of the banks at Hugenot bridge. One forecast is calling for quite a bit more rain Thusday and Friday along the I-95 corridor....as much as two inches. The national forecast is calling for showers. I hope they are correct.

Come on out. Be there early for a decent parking spot on the river.

We caught quite a few nice White Perch in the Rapp last year in July and August. Each time it was up around Waterview.
