Croaks in main Potomac?

Has anybody caught them in the main river yet?

3 hours of fishing squid on the Lower Machodoc only produced for me 14 15-18" cats. Lots of cats in the part of the river. I usually never catch cats around there, or at least very rarely do. My guess water is too fresh and cool yet?

when and where were you? i fish that area a lot. i was out today but just to check out my adjustments on the transducer and to play with the new gps. ran out past the light to see how rough it was.

Catfish????? I never caught one in that part of the river. That's really strange. I usually fish around Copsico and Nomini

i have caught catfish in the nomini, but never at king kopsico. same with the lower macodac. never even heard of a cat at the mouth...

Went fishing on Sunday the 17th, caught 3 croakers off of Colonial Beach. Were a little on the small size. But, they were my first croakers fo the year.

Good Job!! I wanted to go Sunday but I had a pond bass tournament to fish. I will be going this weekend though. By the way I fished using squid around 9:30Pm. I fish Kingcopsico and Coles Point a lot. Anybody going to try this weekend and where on that section of the river. I may shore fish FRI or SAT night.

I hope to be going out of Solomon's Island this weekend for some Stripers. Next weekend I will be back on the Potomac for some Croaker action, or whatever will take a hook.

Went out of Chesapeake Beach and caught a nice 34" fish biggest on boat was 38.5 or so. Had a blast. Left and fish were still biting.

Man sounds like the stripers are reallly biting now. I think most action is around St georges. Hope to get down there and give it a try. I think the croaker are still a week away for a good run

I also fish Copsico alot, have a house right on it.
