Headed out of the gunpowder, crabbed in 8" water 5lbs of necks, 30 topless traps, bait was all gone by about 8.30. A ton of 3-5" crabs almost 2 in every trap. Did manage to get a little over a have bushel, but most were light. Bring more bait if you are heading to GP with the 1000 boats!

I had the same problem in the Bush with losing baits in almost every topless trap. I'm also using snoods but they aren't holding the bait with all of the small crabs and catfish out there. I guess it's time to resort back to my old box traps with spring loaded clips. Very frustrating!

I also went out yesterday and threw back 5 to every legal 1. Great to see though. Later this fall will be good and hopefully next year will be great.
