I went fishing today with a new friend name Jorn on the Severn River at round bay and the tide was high at 5am.The wind was 5 to 10 so we tried to leave Smith Marina but my pull start went up so I had to take it apart and pull it with a rope.So we got started about 6:30am and went across just before Eaglenest Point to the grass bed were the nice big perch were but they were 7" to 11" and we were only keeping fish 10" and up.The weather man did it to me again,he called for partly cloudy skys and 94 and we got a bright sunny hot day around 100.The fishing was slow going and the wind was blowing the water out of the river. As soon as it got hot we started to work the piers and by that time the tide was out and the only place that you could find the perch were on the end of the piers. We worked about 2 miles of shore line and then went to the outside of long point were most of the perch were small, and we got to hot so we stop at 2pm. We only caught 85 perch on this hot slow day but my friend Jorn got to take home 20 nice white perch 10" to 11". So if you plan to go fishing good luck and god bless our troops...................woody:bigfish::yes::thumb up::clapping2:
