Thanks for the advice everyone,
I headed to the Rt 3 bridge about noon (Got a GC inspection while getting ready at the dock) . I left Broad Creek about noon.

Upon arrival to the north side of the river, about 1/4 mile east from the bridge, I saw the head boats and tried to set the anchor. No luck, the wind was blowing enough that I could see myself moving on the GPS. My dad suggested moving towards the south side where we would be protected a little from the wind.

It didn't take long, but we landed 14 good size croaker's on shrimp. Nothing was hitting the bloodworms. They were hitting deep in about 30 feet of water.

So, the skunk is out of the boat and the B26 is on what I hope is a roll.

Sticking to my plan to stay within 15 miles of Deltaville, where is my best bet to try trolling for stipers and... Could somone explain to this newby what a tandem is?

don't do much with the spring stripers in the RappR, myself, but a tandem rig is nothing more than a three-way swivel on the line coming from your fishing rod with a 12-24 oz. sinker 2-3 ft dropping down and 8-15 ft back a bucktail/shad lure - talk to Gillie or the other guys @ J&W seafood in DVL and they'll be sure to hook you up - I'm sure there are web sites that will show you these techniques as well, however I do not know them......aye..aye.

Hackeyfly,
Yep, you got it. You would be the first that I did not have to explain that to. I thought it appropriate that the B26 be called the Marauder. Not a long range boat, but certainly a heavy weight short to medium range fish catcher.

As a matter of fact, it was that same link that you sent me that I decided upon the name.

Thanks!

Hey Chiles- yeah, I'm a junkie for that old iron(aluminum)[wink] If yer into the warbird scene there is a pretty decent show out in Frederick, not sure when but it's happened every summer for the last few years. I think the only flying '26 is in Fla. at the Weeks museum, never been in one but climbed thru a couple '25's, quite the experience! Oops, didn't mean to hijack your thread, congrats on the fish!

What a great site for WWII planes. I went to Oshkosh with a friend three years ago. The warbirds section was awesome including a runway full of P-51s!

I've done Oshkosh twice, flew in once and drove the other, it's pretty much sensory overload for me, hard to describe....

The Flying Prostitute - the wings were so short, the plane had no visible means of support. Better keep the speed up lest the ground reach up and smite thee!
