A friend told me he watched someone hand lining necks off a pier in cox a few weeks ago catching alot of big crabs fast. He recomended I go up by Rt 50. I was scheptical so I stayed within about 1/4 mile of the mouth. Ran a line diagonal across the creek and LOADED UP REAL FAST. The problem was, they were mostly light. We finished with a bushel of decent #1 and 2s and A bushel of 6" and up but light. We also had a line just outside of cox in the thompson and thats where most of the heavy crabs came from. We were i the area this Sunday. We got our bushle be had a 3-1 raitio of toss backs. LOTS of LARGE females. The little guys ate my snoods clean....
