I will be attending. Friday all day, Saturday till 1:00PM and all day Sunday. Please stop by the Maryland Artificial Reef Initiative booth and I will update you on MARI's newest reefs, the new buoy at "The Gooses" reef, and the Radford deployment. Please leave a donation if you can, anything can help. We have a lot go...ing and really need some financial support from everyone...Conservationist's, recreational fisherman, business and those that love the Chesapeake Bay.

PS: Hey Jalopy. Diamond Jim is scheduled to be complete by noon.

What an abortion the seafood festival was:eek2: I got there at 11:00 and waited in line for 35 minutes. The right lane I might add and not to the left side where cars were running down and cutting in at the last moment. I made my final right turn into Sandy Point and was 200 feet from the toll booth and they said that the parking was full and told me to turn around, drive to the college and take a free bus into the park. DNR can't manage our natural resources or a seafood festival. There were NO police or rangers working traffic and NO i didn't take a bus. I took a car home. I heard the Diamond Jim event was an abortion too. Typical for anything state run.......Gary

Thanks Gary, made my mind up. Was gonna go tomorrow...

My Sister went and said parking was $12.00 then there was an admission fee, it was VERY crowded and long lines for food. Good choice!..........Gary

I went by boat today, free dockage, plenty of slips at 10AM. The food lines were a little long but moved fairly quickly, as the day went on the lined got longer. I think the crowds were larger than what they expected due to the great weather. I did understand that parking was a mess.

Doesnt surprise me in the least Gary.
It has all gotten too big. They were great in the 80's and early 90's.

I hate being around large crowds and most people are uncaring selfish a$$h*les IMO. Sounds like a good place to stay away from!

Friday may have been the day to go though.

Glad you had a good time Butcher!
