Kim (Rodsgirl) and I launched at 7:00 AM to go looking for Spanish Mac's. Stopped and tolled the same spot in the river as the night before. 2 fish on the first troll, trolled it 2 more times and hits were at one pier for the most part. Anchored up and started casting around it. In less than an hour we had our limit! Caught 5 fish total 20" to 22", 2 trolling and 2 casting! Lots of fish stacked up on the sonar.

Left and when looking for some larger white perch. Caught about 20 and Kim got another for her aggregate! Put 5 larger ones in the cooler.

Packed up and headed to the bay, dropped 4 rod spread in, with Clarks and Drones (Gold & Silver) just south of the South River. Within an hour I say we landed a bunch of 18" to 20" Blues at 6 to 6.5 MPH. But keep heading south looking for Spanish. We even caught a 20" Rock at that speed.:eek2:

Got to north side of Chesapeake Beach and started to catch Spanish. In the middle of the action the fifth species was a 12" Menhaden. I wasn't sure what it was, so I put it in the cooler also so I could figure it out when I got home.

A great day on the water, Kim got her first Spanish & Blue fish!:clapping2:

Total for the day was,
6 Rock Fish
4 Spanish
7 Blues
20 White Perch
1 Menhaden

I'm sorry, that's too many species. Please report back when you can stay focused on white perch.:))

Me and a buddy a few years back caught rock, blues, yellows, whites, 6 pickerel, and a largemouth...all in the river. And most on what was then, a hot new lure that my buddy had picked up in Pasadena...a feather spinner, made by some guy named Woody. No Shit.
