Took my sister and nephew, in town for the weekend, and my 2 kids. Got to the water at 7:00, had the gear set by 7:30, back at the ramp by 11:00. NRP took a half hour to check over my catch. Had em steamin' by 12:00 at my Mom's at Prospect Bay.
Ran 1200' of trotline, each run was about a half a basket, then we had to cull out half of 'em due to being light or too small. Part of the line was in 1.8' of water, the deepest end was no more than 4.5'. The shallow end, I would have to trim my motor up each time.
Till next time,
John

they checked every crab in 2 bushel? WOW, must have been bored or something. bet they lost some claws while being checked.

There must have been 6 NRP Agents with 3 trucks at the ramp, I showed him my citation from last month, but he checked them anyway. Don't get me wrong, I am happy they are doing their job, but was annoyed at the delay.

I like that kind of enforcement. When the word gets out there will be less people keeping illegal crabs:thumbup: Glad you passed John..........Gary

Great to hear they can be found in shallow water. There's no shortage of crabs in deep water either. Also glad to hear NRP is doing their job. Better than finding them sitting in a Wawa parking lot.

Way to go. They've been checking just about everyone at the Elk Neck Ramp.
