Launched at Waterview at 12:30 and fished until 7 PM. Caught lots of perch. some croakers, and 1 sub-legal trout. Kept 16 croaks and 2 perch.

Fishing was not as good as has been posted here for the past several weeks. We had to work for our fish. Best catching was on top of and at the edges of lumps next to the main channel. We did very little in closer to shore. The largest croaker were caught on spot strips fished on a bucktail teaser. I put this on for flounder, but the croaks and larger perch liked it.

This was my first time in this section of the river. thanks to all of you who provided advice on the ramp and fishing locations.

CWood we must have at least seen each other yesteday as I ran an afternoon trip 4:30 to 8:30 in the Waterview area and also had a hard time with the fish. We boated 50 or 60 and had 30 or so keepers (very low numbers for me). Did well Tuesday and Tuesday afternoon. Your fishing the right places though. I'm leaving out now for another afternoon trip and will be fishing this weekend also. I hope the fishing has imporved since yesteday and can only say thats fishing. I just keep after them and don't give up. Incoming tides are catching better and the morning bite is better than the afternoon. check out my fishing reports and pics at www.misterjspleasure.com.
